This includes African-Americans, American Indians, Hispanic Americans, Pacific Islanders or first-generation students pursuing education\/training beyond high school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards<\/strong><br \/>\nIf selected as recipient, the applicant will receive a monetary award<br \/>\n\u2022 The successful applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have demonstrated community service initiatives.<br \/>\n\u2022 Interested students must submit an application and essay of a minimum of 500 words.<br \/>\n\u2022 Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting information. All information is considered confidential.<br \/>\n\u2022 Applications must be submitted directly to the foundation website at: http:\/\/www.j-rgriffinfoundation.org using the application form, this is online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essay<\/strong><br \/>\nFor Spring 2026 the essay scholarship topic is: &#8220;<strong><em>Analyze how equal access to healthcare\u00a0affects\u00a0public health and society\u00a0as a whole<\/em><\/strong><b>&#8220;.<\/b><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Payment of Scholarship<\/strong><br \/>\nWinners are required to submit proof of acceptance to school.
