About-Us

The Jessie and Romie Griffin Scholarship Foundation was created out of a recognized need for students who needed financial support to attend college or obtain a certification. The foundation is named after Jessie and Romie Griffin. They struggled in providing financial support for their children who attended various educational genres after high school. The photo below is a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary as everyone celebrated a major milestone in their lives

In 2017 we recognized that so many high school graduates and adults worked minimal wage jobs because they did not have the financial support to get a post-secondary education or career training. The Jessie and Romie Griffin Scholarship Foundation focuses on helping with this need. The foundation provides scholarships for students who are committed in obtaining a post-secondary education. These will be students who are accepted or attending a 4-year college, community or technical college. The scholarship is also available for students who are accepted or attending vocational schools, trade schools, a certified training program, or any other non-traditional accredited educational programs.
