The central focus of the Jessie and Romie Griffin Scholarship Foundation is to help individuals, specifically those from underrepresented groups (African-Americans, American Indians, Hispanic Americans, Pacific Islanders, and first-generation college) who will be attending college or vocational school to become self-sufficient financially for themselves and their families by:
• Provide financial and other resources to current high school seniors attending school in the U.S, anticipating completion of a high school diploma at the time of applying for this scholarship and who are planning to pursue a degree to an accredited college in the United States.
• Provide financial and other resources to students who have had to discontinue their college or vocational education due to an unexpected life crisis or financial burden.
• Providing financial and other resources to adults who are forced to find another career due to a corporate restructuring or loss of work.
We provide financial support students who are working towards an undergraduate degree and those who
are attending vocational school or a certified training program.
